Train Smarter. Perform Faster. Recover Better.
Advanced performance technology trusted by elite athletes.
Now available in Janesville.
At Davis Physical Therapy, athletes don’t just “work harder” — they train smarter. Using state-of-the-art performance technology, we measure strength, movement, and power with precision, then turn that data into a clear plan to help you move better, play better, and reduce injury risk.
Why Technology Matters for Athletes
Most athletes train based on feel — how fast, how heavy, how tired. But without data, it’s hard to know what’s actually working.
Our performance technology takes the guesswork out of training. By measuring your strength, power, movement quality, and asymmetries, we can clearly see where you’re strong, where you’re compensating, and where you’re at risk for injury. From there, we design smarter strategies that help you make real, measurable progress instead of just “hoping” your training is effective.
Our Technology
VALD Force Decks
VALD Force Decks are dual force plates that measure how your body produces and absorbs force. We use them to analyze:
Jump height and landing mechanics
Power output and rate of force development
Asymmetries between your right and left sides
Balance, stability, and control
This helps us see how efficiently you move and where your body may be working harder than it needs to.
VALD Force Frame
The VALD Force Frame measures isolated muscle strength with incredible accuracy — perfect for athletes working through or coming back from injury.
We use it to assess:
Hip, hamstring, quad, and shoulder strength
Imbalances that affect speed, cutting, and lifting
Areas needing targeted strengthening to reduce injury risk
Together, these tools give us a full picture of how your body performs under load.
What We Measure
Every athlete evaluation is customized, but most testing sessions include measurements like:
Strength and power output
Jump and landing mechanics
Balance and stability control
Movement asymmetries and compensations
Mobility and flexibility screens
Rate of force development (how quickly you create force)
At the end of your session, we walk you through the data in clear language and give you specific recommendations you can use in training right away.
The Athlete Performance Track
A full-year performance membership for serious athletes.
The Athlete Performance Track is designed for athletes who want structure, feedback, and accountability throughout the year—not just a one-time test.
With this membership, you’ll receive:
4 performance evaluations per year (one per quarter, at least 10 weeks apart)
4 thirty-minute athlete recovery sessions included
Detailed electronic performance reports delivered through the MoveHealth app
Clear recommendations you can use on your own or with your coach
A data-backed way to see how your strength and performance change over time
Whether you’re coming back from surgery, preparing for a season, or simply want to perform at your best, this track gives you direction, clarity, and consistent feedback.
Who is This Program for?
Our performance testing and technology are ideal for:
Competitive high school and college athletes
Club and travel athletes preparing for showcases or seasons
Post-surgical or post-injury athletes ready for the next level of rehab
Adult and recreational “weekend warriors”
Athletes who want to prevent injury and extend their playing years
If you care about your performance, your body, and your longevity in sport, this is for you.
What to Expect During Your Performance Session
Step 1 – Warm-Up & Movement Screen
We start with a brief warm-up and a movement screen to get a baseline of how you move and how your body feels today.
Step 2 – Performance Testing
We use the VALD Force Decks and Force Frame to test strength, power, balance, and asymmetries in a safe, controlled way.
Step 3 – Results & Game Plan
We review your data together, explain what it means in plain language, and outline next steps—whether that’s focused strength work, technique changes, or targeted rehab.
Whether you’re coming back from injury, prepping for a big season, or just want to train smarter, our performance technology gives you the insights you need to move confidently toward your goals.
